Yiddish Women Poets

Fulbright scholar Maia Evrona once again brings the sound of Yiddish to Casa Adret, this time through the poetry of three remarkable women. Largely excluded from the study of Hebrew, women occupied a prominent place in Yiddish poetry.

This reading will feature three of those women, both in their Yiddish originals and in English translation by Maia Evrona.
